Sharing economy can be defined as a way to travel through services that charge a fee to get you to point A to point B, or your home away from home. Just in Canada alone, Canadians spent $241 million dollars on peer-to-peer services, which is another term for ride sharing. That means the average Canadian is spending around $122 on this per year. However, Canadians spent $1.1 billion dollars on private accommodation in and outside of Canada. That means each Canadian spent around $890, with $307 of that being in Canada.
